Alternate formats of the census questions

Important notice: The presentations are for reference purposes only. A 2026 Census questionnaire must be completed in English or in French, online or paper version.

The census questions and reasons why the questions are asked are available in alternate formats, including American Sign Language (ASL), Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ), audio, DAISY, electronic braille and e-text.

People who have a hearing or speech impairment and need help completing their questionnaire should call the Census Help Line TTY number (1-833-830-3109) to request assistance. Video relay services can also be used.
