Census information in many languages

The following materials are provided as reference to help you better understand the census. In addition to English and French, each of them has been produced in 28 languages, including 15 Indigenous languages and dialects.

We encourage you to share this information with your friends, family, colleagues and clients who could benefit from these resources.

Census questions and reasons why they are asked

The 2A-R questionnaire is the Census of Population questionnaire completed by northern, remote and Indigenous communities. The documents provided below include translations of the questions that appear on the 2A-R Questions and reasons why the questions are asked.

Please note that the census questions were translated for reference purposes only. The census questionnaire must be completed online, by phone, or in person with a census employee, in English or in French.
